B-I-N-G-O!
Today Josh's feedings were FINALLY restarted but at a very, very low rate. He was very happy to get anything in his tummy, and it allowed him to get really comfortable. The past few days he was so hungry he couldn't do anything but suck away on his pacifier like a mad man. The post before I had mentioned he was fed, but he only got 2 feeds in the 6 days he's been here, until now and hopefully he is able to continue eating!
We were able to spend the morning working a lot with his hearing aids. We had just gotten those before heading to the hospital on Wednesday. I had them rush ordered so we could start using them. He has to trial them before we move on to the cochlear implants (just a part of the whole process). So this morning Josh was able to play with Elmo, his Rhyme and Discover book, and he even had some time to kick back and watch tv (not something mommy is thrilled with, but under the circumstances a little Spongebob was allowed). Then, once Josh's tummy got filled he got real comfy and played Hospital Bingo from his room and won a Build-A-Bear! Mom called down to the fifth floor where we were on live tv in the hosptial- how fun! Hopefully his levels continue to be in the normal range and we can bust out of here soon!
